Wider recognition came with Mirzapur (2018) as Babar. Subsequent roles in Panchayat, Paatal Lok, and Jamtara established him as a familiar face on OTT platforms. His portrayal of the irritated groom Ganesh in Panchayat, especially the line “Gajab beizzati hai yaar,” turned him into a meme favourite. He has continued working in films and series.
In December 2024 he married his longtime partner Zeba in an intimate Nikah ceremony in Mumbai, followed by a Walima in Nimbahera. In September 2026 he entered Bigg Boss 20.
Aasif Khan’s journey reflects determination and gradual growth. Growing up in a middle-class family in Nimbahera without industry connections, early passion for performance was interrupted by his father’s death. Supporting the family through odd jobs while studying, he later pursued theatre seriously in Jaipur for five years with groups such as Sarthak and Ujaagar.
In Mumbai he balanced survival jobs (including waiting tables) with auditions and casting work, gaining industry insight. The short film Vacancy brought early awards and validation. Supporting roles in major OTT shows allowed him to showcase range—from intense characters in crime dramas to the comic, relatable frustration of Panchayat’s Damaad Ji.
His career path emphasises character work over leading-man launches. Marriage to Zeba in 2024 marked a personal milestone, and participation in Bigg Boss 20 expanded his visibility into reality television. Public accounts consistently highlight his grounded background and persistence.
