Cure By Design Expands to Chennai, Opens Anna Nagar Store and Announces Limited Franchise Opportunities Across India

Today, Cure By Design has built a strong pan-India presence with a network of more than 500 human and veterinary clinics, while recording an impressive 200% year-on-year growth driven by increasing consumer awareness, repeat demand, retail expansion, and stronger clinical adoption.

Located at No. 43/3, Block 62, 5th Avenue, Z Block, Anna Nagar, Chennai, the new store has been designed as more than just a retail destination. It will function as an education-led wellness centre where customers can learn about plant-based wellness, receive personalised guidance, interact with healthcare professionals, and make informed decisions before selecting products.

Speaking on the expansion, Daanish Matheen, Founder of Cure By Design, said, “When we started, medical cannabis was widely misunderstood in India. Our mission was never just to create products but to build awareness, educate consumers and healthcare professionals, and establish trust in the category. The Chennai launch represents another important step in that journey.”

Unlike conventional wellness retailers, Cure By Design has focused on building a comprehensive ecosystem that combines product innovation with clinical partnerships and customer education. Over the years, the company has expanded beyond medical cannabis into a broader portfolio of plant-based wellness products that cater to different health and lifestyle needs.

Its offerings include medical cannabis and Vijaya formulations, CBD products, functional mushrooms, Ayurvedic tinctures and liquid extracts, plant-based supplements, aroma blends, topical wellness products, and specialised pet wellness solutions. These products are developed with an emphasis on quality, transparency, and responsible usage under professional guidance wherever appropriate.

The company believes that every customer has unique wellness requirements, and therefore promotes personalised consultation instead of one-size-fits-all recommendations. Customers visiting the Anna Nagar store will have access to guidance on choosing suitable products based on their individual needs, preferences, and healthcare advice.

One of Cure By Design’s strongest growth drivers has been its extensive business-to-business (B2B) network, which now includes doctors, veterinarians, clinics, distributors, retailers, pharmacies, wellness professionals, and institutional partners across India. According to the company, this network has played a crucial role in promoting responsible product usage while helping strengthen trust within the medical cannabis and plant wellness industry.

“Our B2B partnerships have allowed us to build credibility at the grassroots level,” Matheen added. “When healthcare professionals understand the products and guide customers responsibly, the entire wellness experience becomes more meaningful and trustworthy.”

The Chennai launch also marks the beginning of Cure By Design’s limited franchise expansion programme. Rather than pursuing rapid nationwide growth, the company plans to partner with a carefully selected group of entrepreneurs who share its commitment to education, compliance, quality, and responsible business practices.

Initially, franchise opportunities will be available in select tier-one cities including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi NCR, and other high-potential metropolitan markets. Franchise partners will receive comprehensive support covering store planning, branding, inventory management, technology, marketing, consultation systems, staff training, and ongoing business development.

The company emphasises that its franchise stores are intended to function as wellness education centres rather than conventional retail outlets. Each partner will also be encouraged to develop relationships with local doctors, veterinary clinics, pharmacies, wellness centres, and healthcare professionals to strengthen community engagement and build long-term trust.

Beyond medical cannabis, Cure By Design has diversified into several rapidly growing wellness categories. Its functional mushroom range includes globally recognised ingredients such as Lion’s Mane, Reishi, Cordyceps, Chaga, and Turkey Tail, which are increasingly sought after for cognitive wellness, immunity, stress management, and overall well-being.

The company’s Ayurvedic tinctures and liquid extracts feature traditional herbs including Brahmi, Curcumin, Triphala, Shatavari, Moringa, and Milk Thistle, presented in convenient modern formats that make traditional wellness easier to integrate into daily routines.

Another key differentiator is Cure By Design’s specialised pet wellness division, offering CBD products, topical formulations, calming sprays, and wellness solutions designed specifically for dogs and cats. Working closely with veterinary professionals across India, the company has developed formulations tailored to animal health rather than adapting products intended for human use.

Cure By Design has also introduced its SuperSupps range, featuring carefully selected ingredients sourced from India and around the world, alongside aroma blends developed with inputs from naturopathy experts to support concerns such as stress, sleep, anxiety, pain, and relaxation.

According to the company, its mission extends beyond selling products. It aims to simplify plant-based wellness by making credible information, professional consultation, and scientifically informed guidance accessible to more people across the country.

The company attributes much of its success to its continued investment in consumer education. Through doctor engagement programmes, clinical partnerships, product training, retail education, and awareness initiatives, Cure By Design has worked consistently to replace misinformation with evidence-based knowledge and responsible communication.

With Chennai serving as its gateway to South India, Cure By Design believes the city offers an ideal environment due to its strong healthcare ecosystem, wellness-conscious consumers, and growing interest in preventive healthcare solutions. The Anna Nagar outlet is expected to become a hub for customer education, healthcare collaboration, and community engagement while supporting future growth across Tamil Nadu.

Looking ahead, Cure By Design plans to strengthen its retail footprint, expand its B2B partnerships, introduce new wellness innovations, and grow its carefully curated franchise network while maintaining the quality, professionalism, and educational approach that have defined its journey over the past six years.

The Anna Nagar store officially opens on July 17, 2026, where visitors can explore the company’s complete product portfolio, receive personalised wellness guidance, learn about doctor consultations, and enquire about business partnerships and franchise opportunities.

With three retail stores, a nationwide network of over 500 clinics, strong year-on-year growth, and a commitment to responsible wellness education, Cure By Design continues to position itself as one of India’s leading names in the evolving medical cannabis and plant wellness industry.
