The development brings together an established industrial legacy, a recognised steel company and a new-generation multi-location manufacturing strategy.
The present-day story begins with Late Padma Shri Debi Sahai Jindal, whom the DS Jindal Group identifies as the founder behind its industrial journey.
His contribution to Indian industry was recognised with the Padma Shri, and his name remains closely associated with the foundation and evolution of the group’s industrial businesses.
The significance of Debi Sahai Jindal’s legacy today goes beyond history. It provides the foundation for understanding the industrial identity from which the present DS Jindal Group and businesses associated with the Jindal name have evolved.
That legacy now finds a new expression through the expansion of Jindal Steel Tubes Ltd. into the reinforcement-steel segment.
Jindal Steel Tubes Ltd. and the JSTL 550 SHD Journey
Jindal Steel Tubes Ltd. has been associated with the Indian steel industry for decades, with its traditional presence in steel tubes, pipes and related products.
The company’s expansion into TMT reinforcement steel through JSTL 550 SHD represents a significant extension of its steel-product portfolio.
The product is being developed for India’s construction and infrastructure markets, where reinforcement steel remains a fundamental component of residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects.
Kailash Jindal, Managing Director, Jindal Steel Tubes Ltd., sees the development as an extension of the company’s industrial journey.
“The Jindal industrial legacy has been built over decades. As we enter new product categories, our responsibility is to carry forward the values associated with that legacy while responding to the requirements of today’s construction and infrastructure market. JSTL 550 SHD is an important step in that direction.”
Khyati Contech: From Construction-Material Distribution to Manufacturing
A key part of the current expansion is Khyati Contech Private Limited, formerly known as Khyati Infra Mart.
Under the leadership of Avinash Kumar Bhatt, Managing Director, the company is moving from its earlier construction-material distribution identity toward a broader manufacturing-led business model.
Its role in the JSTL 550 SHD ecosystem centres on market development, distribution, regional expansion and coordination with manufacturing partners.
For Bhatt, the objective is to create a long-term ecosystem rather than simply introduce another TMT product.
“Our objective is to build a manufacturing and distribution ecosystem around JSTL 550 SHD. The journey began with the first manufacturing partnership at Giridih, and the next phase is about creating a wider network capable of serving customers closer to their markets.”
The transformation from Khyati Infra Mart to Khyati Contech Private Limited reflects the company’s broader move toward manufacturing and infrastructure-oriented business activities.
25 July: The First Manufacturing Chapter Begins at Giridih
The strategy moved into commercial operation on 25 July 2026, when the first dispatch of JSTL 550 SHD TMT Bars began from Lall Steels Pvt. Ltd. at Giridih, Jharkhand.
The Giridih facility became the first manufacturing unit in the current JSTL 550 SHD expansion.
According to company figures, more than 1,000 tonnes of material were dispatched during the first 10 days, reaching dealer shops and construction sites.
The initial supply markets include:
Delhi NCR
Uttar Pradesh
Haryana
Rajasthan
Bihar
Jharkhand
West Bengal
For Anurag Lall, Marketing Director, Lall Steels Pvt. Ltd., the early performance has been an encouraging start.
“Giridih represents the first chapter of this manufacturing journey. The response since commercial dispatches began on 25 July has been encouraging, and the initial movement of more than 1,000 tonnes in the first ten days gives us confidence in the market potential.”
Blue Gold Steel Industries Adds Regional Manufacturing Capacity
The next stage of expansion involves Blue Gold Steel Industries, which is associated with five additional manufacturing units in the broader network.
The associated markets include:
Andhra Pradesh
Telangana
Tamil Nadu
Karnataka
Kerala
Puducherry
Maharashtra
Madhya Pradesh
Chhattisgarh
Gujarat
Naresh Kumar Garg, Partner, Blue Gold Steel Industries, said:
“The objective is to strengthen regional manufacturing capacity and create a more responsive supply network. As construction demand grows across different parts of India, manufacturing closer to those markets becomes increasingly important.”
Amit Garg, Partner, Blue Gold Steel Industries, added:
“India’s construction market is spread across a very large geography. A distributed manufacturing model can help address regional requirements more efficiently while creating a stronger foundation for long-term market development.”
Z9 Steel Private Limited Joins the Network
The manufacturing ecosystem has also expanded with the addition of Z9 Steel Private Limited, led by Managing Director Vinod Aggarwal.
The addition of Z9 Steel further broadens the group of manufacturing companies participating in the JSTL 550 SHD expansion.
“The construction sector is creating demand across multiple regions, making regional manufacturing and dependable supply increasingly important. We are pleased to contribute to an ecosystem focused on building manufacturing capacity closer to the market.”
25 August: From 1 to 10 Manufacturing Units
The biggest milestone in the current expansion is scheduled for 25 August 2026.
The company plans to commence production through 10 manufacturing units, taking the network from its first operating plant at Giridih toward a ten-unit manufacturing footprint.
The expansion is being positioned under the campaign:
FROM 1 TO 10 MANUFACTURING UNITS
The strategy is intended to strengthen production capacity while bringing manufacturing closer to regional markets.
In the steel business, where freight, availability and delivery timelines can significantly influence purchasing decisions, a distributed manufacturing network can provide an important operational advantage.
The 10-unit plan therefore represents more than an increase in production locations. It is an attempt to build a broader supply-chain architecture around JSTL 550 SHD.
A Market Map Covering 26 States/UT Markets Plus Delhi NCR
The expansion has also significantly widened the intended market footprint.
Current supply markets

The current expansion map therefore covers 26 states/UT markets plus Delhi NCR.
For a new TMT manufacturing network, this represents a substantial geographic ambition.
Building Consistency Across a Larger Network
As the number of manufacturing locations increases, consistency becomes a key operational requirement.
Saurabh Aggarwal of Jindal Steel Tubes Ltd. said:
“Expansion has to go hand in hand with consistency. As the manufacturing network grows, maintaining defined processes and product standards across locations becomes increasingly important.”
The challenge for the network is therefore not only to increase output but also to maintain a consistent product experience across different markets.
The Marketing and Distribution Challenge
The expansion also places greater importance on the dealer and distribution network.
“Manufacturing and distribution have to grow together. Dealers require availability and timely support, while customers expect dependable supply. Strengthening both sides of the ecosystem will be important as JSTL enters new markets.”
The sales channel network includes partners across major markets.
Ashish Arora
Managing Director, Aastrix Pvt. Ltd., Delhi NCR
“For channel partners, consistent availability is fundamental. A wider manufacturing network can strengthen inventory planning and help dealers serve project customers more efficiently.”
“The expansion of manufacturing capacity across regions can create a stronger environment for distribution. Regional availability gives dealers greater confidence while developing their markets.”
Peeyush Jindal
Sales Channel Partner, Hisar, Haryana
“Customers ultimately look for quality as well as dependable availability. A wider manufacturing network can strengthen supply and create a better foundation for long-term dealer relationships.”
The Bigger Story: Legacy Meets a New Manufacturing Model
The JSTL 550 SHD expansion brings together several distinct parts of the steel industry’s value chain.
At its historical foundation is Late Padma Shri Debi Sahai Jindal and the industrial legacy associated with the DS Jindal Group.
The present steel platform is Jindal Steel Tubes Ltd.
The new reinforcement-steel product is JSTL 550 SHD.
The market-development and distribution platform is being built through Khyati Contech Private Limited, formerly Khyati Infra Mart.
The manufacturing network includes Lall Steels Pvt. Ltd., Blue Gold Steel Industries and Z9 Steel Private Limited, along with the wider network being developed for the 10-unit milestone.
The final link is the dealer and sales-channel network that connects manufacturing capacity with India’s construction markets.
A Rapid Manufacturing Expansion
The timeline illustrates the speed of the current development.
25 July 2026: First JSTL 550 SHD dispatch from Giridih, Jharkhand.
First 10 days: More than 1,000 tonnes dispatched, according to company figures.
25 August 2026: Planned commencement of production through 10 manufacturing units.
Within a single month, the company plans to move from its first operating manufacturing location to a significantly larger production network.
That is the central business story behind the current expansion.
The Legacy Continues, the Manufacturing Model Evolves
The Indian steel industry of today operates in a very different environment from the one in which Debi Sahai Jindal built his industrial foundation.
Today’s market demands regional availability, efficient logistics, manufacturing scale, strong distribution and faster response to construction demand.
The current JSTL strategy reflects that change.
The historical foundation comes from Debi Sahai Jindal.
The continuing industrial identity comes through the DS Jindal Group.
The steel platform is Jindal Steel Tubes Ltd.
The reinforcement-steel initiative is JSTL 550 SHD.
The market and distribution expansion is being developed through Khyati Contech Private Limited.
And the manufacturing strategy is moving from one operating unit toward a planned network of ten.
It is a story of continuity, but also of transformation.
From 1 to 10: The Next Chapter
The first chapter of the current journey began at Giridih on 25 July 2026.
The next major milestone is scheduled for 25 August 2026, when production is planned to begin across 10 manufacturing units.
The expansion map now extends to 26 states/UT markets plus Delhi NCR, supported by manufacturing partners and a growing sales-channel network.
For the businesses involved, the ambition is clear: create a wider, more responsive manufacturing and distribution ecosystem around JSTL 550 SHD.
For Jindal Steel Tubes Ltd., it is a new chapter in its steel-product journey.
For Khyati Contech Private Limited, it is the next stage in its transformation from Khyati Infra Mart into a manufacturing-led enterprise.
For the manufacturing partners, it is an opportunity to build regional production capacity.
And for the Jindal industrial legacy, it is another generation carrying forward a story that began with Late Padma Shri Debi Sahai Jindal.
From Legacy to Manufacturing
From one plant to ten.
From regional supply to a wider Indian network.
A new chapter in Indian steel manufacturing is taking shape.
