Gunnebo Safe Storage Launches Steelage Mahotsav 2026 for India’s Jewellers

As India’s jewellery industry embraces modern retail practices, security is no longer limited to safeguarding assets, it has become a strategic business imperative. Larger inventories, evolving operational requirements and rising customer expectations are driving the demand for solutions that integrate certified physical security with intelligent digital technologies.

Steelage Mahotsav has been conceptualized as an on-ground activation platform to educate jewellers on these evolving security requirements while showcasing how next-generation technologies can strengthen business resilience, improve operational efficiency and ensure compliance with industry BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards).

As part of the campaign, Gunnebo will engage directly with independent jewellers, Jewellers Associations and industry stakeholders through interactive sessions featuring live product demonstrations.

“The jewellery industry is evolving at an unprecedented pace, and security must evolve alongside it,” said Anirban Mukhuti, Head of Marketing & Product Management, Asia, Gunnebo Safe Storage. “Steelage Mahotsav is our commitment to helping jewellers understand how emerging technologies are reshaping the future of commercial security and why investing in future-ready solutions is no longer optional. At Gunnebo, we continuously innovate to stay ahead of evolving security challenges, combining intelligent digital technologies with our trusted physical security expertise to deliver integrated solutions for modern businesses.”

Modern security solutions now combine certified safes, vaults and strong-room doors with electronic locking systems equipped with multi-user authentication, biometric access featuring Live Finger Detection (LFD), audit trails, mobile-enabled management capabilities, intrusion detection systems and cloud-based monitoring platforms. These innovations enable businesses to proactively strengthen security while improving operational transparency and accountability across multiple locations while allowing organizations to respond faster to risks.

With a legacy spanning more than 90 years, Steelage has consistently pioneered innovations in safe storage and remains at the forefront of introducing BIS-certified security products that comply with stringent Indian industry standards. Its comprehensive portfolio includes safes, strong-room doors, modular vaults, vault accessories, fire-resistant cabinets and high-security locking systems designed to meet the evolving needs of modern businesses.

As the campaign progresses, Steelage Mahotsav will engage with jewellers in more than 200 cities nationwide, reinforcing the importance of investing in certified, technology-enabled security solutions that not only safeguard valuable assets but also enhance operational resilience, strengthen customer confidence and drive long-term business growth.
