Prime Car Care Sets the Standard as Kolkata’s Best PPF Installation Studio

The growth mirrors a broader national trend. India’s automotive PPF segment recorded 28 percent year-on-year expansion in 2025, driven by rising premium vehicle ownership and growing consumer understanding that original factory paint directly impacts resale value. In the region, however, the surge in demand has exposed a persistent gap: most installations are carried out in uncontrolled environments, with uncalibrated processes and no manufacturer-backed warranties, leaving car owners with protection that frequently fails within the first year.

What Professional PPF Installation Actually Means

Prime Car Care’s installation process is built around preventing the most common causes of PPF failure. Every job begins with a full paint inspection followed by mandatory pre-installation correction, a step most studios skip entirely. The film is computer-generated to precise, vehicle-specific patterns, eliminating on-vehicle blade cutting, which is the leading cause of clear coat damage at unverified studios. All work takes place in a purpose-built, dust-controlled bay, where contamination, the primary driver of bubbling and premature film failure, is actively managed. At handover, each customer receives a manufacturer-registered warranty: documented, traceable, and valid.

“Every car that leaves our bay has gone through a documented, precision process from paint inspection and correction to computer-cut film and a registered warranty at handover. That rigour isn’t incidental to what we do. It is what we do.”

The Resale Value Case for Getting It Right

Original, unrepainted factory paint commands a 10 to 15 percent premium in India’s used car market, according to data from Cars24 and OLX Autos. PPF is designed to protect that premium, but poor installation can itself become the source of paint damage, invalidating the very investment it was meant to secure. Film applied without pre-correction, cut on-vehicle, or fitted in an uncontrolled environment frequently causes more harm than it prevents.

Prime Car Care’s scope covers all three primary coverage tiers: partial zone protection, full front, and full body, across vehicle segments from daily-use sedans to luxury SUVs. Every consultation begins with an assessment of paint condition, driving profile, vehicle value, and ownership timeline, so coverage is tailored to the individual rather than sold off a standard package.

“The PPF market in East India has grown fast, but so has the volume of substandard work. Car owners are paying for protection and receiving film that yellows within a year or damages paint on removal. We exist to give this market a reference point, an installation standard that is transparent, documented, and built to last.”
