Cordelia Cruises Operator Waterways Leisure Tourism to Consider Stock Split on July 10; Shares in Focus -PNn

New Delhi [India], July 7: Shares of Waterways Leisure Tourism Ltd, the operator of the Cordelia Cruises brand, are likely to remain in focus after the company announced that its Board of Directors will meet on July 10, 2026, to consider a proposal for the subdivision of its equity shares, commonly referred to as a stock split.

The company informed the stock exchanges that the board will consider and approve, subject to shareholders’ approval and other regulatory clearances, a proposal to split the face value of its equity shares.

A stock split increases the number of outstanding shares by reducing the face value of each share while keeping the company’s overall market capitalization unchanged. Companies often undertake stock splits to improve liquidity and make shares more affordable for retail investors.

The proposed stock split comes shortly after Waterways Leisure Tourism made its debut on the Indian stock exchanges. The stock has witnessed strong investor interest since listing, with shares touching fresh highs in recent trading sessions.

In its regulatory filing, the company stated that the board meeting scheduled for July 10 will also be subject to the necessary approvals from shareholders and regulatory authorities before the proposal can be implemented.

Separately, the company noted that the trading window for designated persons, insiders, employees, and their immediate relatives has already been closed from July 1, 2026, and will remain shut until 48 hours after the declaration of the unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, in accordance with the SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations and the company’s insider trading code.

Investors will closely watch the outcome of the July 10 board meeting, as the final ratio of the proposed stock split, if approved, could act as a key trigger for the stock in the near term. Alongside the stock split proposal, the company’s quarterly earnings announcement will also remain in focus for market participants.
