The teaser of writer-director Vikas Phadnis’s web series “Rankers,” based on the shattered dreams and pressure faced by NEET students, has been launched

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 23: This year, around 2.3 million students who dream of becoming doctors appeared for the NEET examination in our country. However, due to irregularities in the exam, it was canceled, after which several students reportedly died by suicide. Many families were plunged into grief, and the dreams of millions of children were shattered. Behind every rank lies a story of dreams, sacrifice, friendship, pressure, and a relentless pursuit of success. Inspired by true events, writer, director, and producer Vikas Phadnis has created the web series “Rankers.” Its teaser was launched at a grand event in Mumbai. Produced under the banner of Think Creative Films, the web series will soon be released on an OTT platform.

The teaser is highly impactful. It begins with news reports about the NEET paper leak and the cancellation of the examination. It then portrays how shattered dreams lead some students to take their own lives. For millions of students, NEET is not just an examination but a battle of hope, determination, and courage. RANKERS brings viewers face-to-face with the lives of students and teachers who are going through one of the most difficult phases of their lives, where every mark matters and every decision can change everything. The dreams of 2.3 million students are confined to that three-hour examination, and the pressure of securing a rank is immense.
