“From BPO to IT and Beyond: Biplob Mandal’s Journey Inspires Digital Business Solutions’ (DBS) Career Transformation Mission”
New Delhi [India], September 1: Career transitions are becoming an increasingly relevant part of professional life. As industries evolve and job roles change, professionals are often required to learn new skills, adapt to changing expectations and consider career directions beyond their original qualifications. For many people from Non-IT backgrounds, however, entering the IT industry can appear difficult.
Digital Business Solutions (DBS), founded by Mr. Biplob Mandal, is addressing this challenge by creating a focused ecosystem for Non-IT to IT career transformation. The organisation’s approach combines practical skill development, mentorship, career guidance and placement-focused preparation to help professionals explore new opportunities in the technology sector.

Mandal brings more than 18 years of corporate experience across different professional domains. His professional career began in a customer care role within the BPO industry. From there, he gradually moved into different areas, including IT and finance.
His career path provided practical exposure to the challenges professionals can face when attempting to change their career direction. Rather than seeing a Non-IT background as a permanent limitation, his journey demonstrated the possibility of developing new skills and moving towards different professional opportunities.
His educational background includes a BA and MBA, making his own professional experience particularly relevant to the mission of DBS.
The organisation was built around the idea of helping others navigate similar transformations with greater clarity, guidance and preparation.
Challenging the Idea That IT Is Only for Technical Graduates
One of the central messages of Digital Business Solutions is that IT career opportunities are not limited only to engineering or computer science graduates.
Professionals working in BPO, KPO, banking, healthcare, insurance, operations and other Non-IT sectors may already possess valuable professional experience. By developing relevant digital and technology skills, they can explore new career pathways.
Similarly, graduates from BA, B.Com, BBA, MBA and other non-technical backgrounds may also consider IT-related opportunities without necessarily pursuing traditional software development or coding careers.
DBS focuses on helping these individuals understand their options and follow a structured roadmap rather than approaching career transformation as a one-size-fits-all process.
Practical Learning at the Centre
According to DBS, career transformation requires more than completing a course. Practical knowledge, confidence, mentorship and professional preparation are equally important.
The organisation therefore follows a beginner-friendly approach for individuals who may not have previous technical knowledge or coding experience. Its focus is on practical and industry-oriented skill development, enabling learners to understand how their knowledge can relate to real-world professional opportunities.
Mentorship forms another important part of this process. Learners receive guidance intended to help them understand their career options and prepare for the next stage of their professional journey.
The organisation also provides placement-focused support, including resume and profile development, mock interviews, job portal profile preparation, career guidance and follow-up support during the placement phase.
Supporting Thousands of Career Transformations
Over more than eight years, DBS has worked towards helping professionals build new career pathways. The organisation says it has supported thousands of professionals from diverse educational and professional backgrounds.
Its learner community includes people from BPO, KPO, banking, healthcare, insurance, operations and other Non-IT industries. Learners have also come from educational backgrounds including BA, B.Com, BBA and MBA.
Career outcomes among successful professionals in the DBS community have ranged from approximately ₹5 LPA to ₹60 LPA. These figures vary according to individual experience, skills, role, professional background, market opportunities and career progression.
The organisation emphasises that career outcomes are individual and depend on multiple factors rather than being guaranteed by completing a training programme.
A Growing Organisation with a Wider Industry Presence
DBS has developed a team of more than 100 professionals working across training, mentorship, career guidance, learner support and placement-focused activities.
The organisation is also building credibility through industry and media recognition. Digital Business Solutions and its founder have been featured in Forbes India in a feature titled “Founders to Watch: The Leaders Defining the Next Decade.”
Mandal has also appeared in a Zee News-related media appearance focused on career transformation and professional growth. His upcoming appearance on The Abhi Show / Career Journey is expected to discuss the realities of moving into IT from a Non-IT background, professional growth and career transformation.
Another upcoming milestone for DBS is recognition for “Excellence in IT Skill Development & Placement,” which is expected to highlight its work in IT skill development, career transformation and placement-focused support.
The Road Ahead for Career Transformation
The professional environment continues to change, making continuous learning and skill development increasingly relevant. For professionals, this can mean combining existing industry experience with new digital and technology skills.
DBS aims to strengthen this transition by developing a career transformation ecosystem that goes beyond classroom learning. Its long-term vision is to empower thousands of professionals by helping them develop relevant skills, build confidence and prepare for evolving industry requirements.
At the heart of this mission is the belief that a person’s previous educational qualification or professional background should not automatically determine their future possibilities.
Biplob Mandal’s own journey—from a customer care role in the BPO sector to experience across IT, finance and the broader corporate environment—forms the foundation of that belief.
Digital Business Solutions now seeks to extend that experience to professionals across India who are considering their own next step. For those willing to learn, adapt and prepare, a Non-IT background does not necessarily have to be the end of the career story. It can instead become the starting point for a new professional direction.
