From Hisar to a 25-Year Business Legacy: Dr. Deepak Sharma and the Growth of Make Way India

His professional journey began in the automobile market of Hisar, Haryana. During those early years, seeing mobile handsets sparked an idea in his mind to enter the emerging technology business. After gaining experience, he started a small mobile accessories business in Hisar. Through hard work and innovative ideas, he expanded his business across Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan, eventually entering the mobile handset business.

This entrepreneurial journey later evolved into Make Way India Pvt. Ltd., which has now successfully completed 25 years.

Over the years, Make Way India expanded beyond mobile marketing into real estate, manufacturing, hospitality, innovative products and lifestyle ventures. Sharma also entered the real estate sector, beginning with property transactions and later moving into flats, townships and development projects across Haryana, Rajasthan and Goa.

A Self-Made Entrepreneur

Sharma’s journey is often described as a transformation “from a bicycle to a Jaguar.” However, he believes his greatest achievement is not material success but the knowledge and experience gained through years of struggle.

His philosophy is simple: keep learning, keep experimenting and never allow failure to stop you.

He considers every challenge an opportunity to find a new solution. This mindset has helped him move successfully across different industries and continuously reinvent his business vision.

Innovation in Water Technology

In recent years, Sharma has focused strongly on innovation. One of his notable initiatives is the INJK Magnetic Device, which he describes as a new development in water technology. According to information shared by his organisation, the device is being used by more than 3 lakh customers within a short period.

His larger vision is Waterlogy, an innovative concept exploring water, technology, research and traditional knowledge. Sharma believes Waterlogy can become a significant milestone in his journey and contribute toward a healthier and more prosperous human life.

Author and Thinker

Dr. Deepak Sharma is also the author of “Mind Is King – Set Your Mind Thermostat.” The book reflects his belief in the power of mindset and has helped establish him as a public figure and motivational thinker.

His philosophy is that transformation begins in the mind. A person’s circumstances may influence the beginning of a journey, but determination and the right mindset can influence its destination.

Awards and Recognition

Despite not completing his formal school education, Sharma has received several national and international awards and honours for his entrepreneurial journey, social contributions and innovative work.

He has also been conferred an honorary PhD in recognition of his work, research and contributions.

Business With a Social Purpose

For Sharma, entrepreneurship is not only about financial success. He has been associated with social organisations and initiatives supporting needy people and encouraging social workers.

He also believes in supporting budding entrepreneurs and encouraging new business ideas.

His philosophy is reflected in the words:

“Apne liye jiye to kya jiye, tu ji ae dil zamane ke liye.”

The Vision Ahead

As Make Way India completes 25 years, Sharma is looking toward the next chapter with a strong focus on innovation, intellectual property and global opportunities.

He believes India should not only manufacture for the world but also invent for the world. His future vision includes developing original products and technologies and expanding the company’s global presence.

The organisation is also looking toward a potential 2027 IPO, subject to the required business, financial and regulatory processes.

Dr. Deepak Sharma’s journey—from the auto market of Hisar to a 25-year-old business enterprise, and from mobile products to real estate and water technology—is ultimately a story of self-belief, resilience and reinvention.

His message to aspiring entrepreneurs is clear:

“Your beginning does not decide your destination. Your mindset, learning and courage to keep moving forward do.”
