“Ratheesh Menon’s Tents and Trails – Wild Camping Adventures Across India’s Wilderness”
New Delhi [India], August 11: BlueRose Publishers has announced the release of Tents and Trails – Wild Camping Chronicles, a travel memoir by Ratheesh Menon that explores India’s forests, mountains, and wildlife through firsthand experiences gathered over two decades. At a time when interest in sustainable travel and environmental awareness is steadily growing, the book offers readers an authentic account of life in the wild and the enduring connection between people and nature.
Drawing on expeditions across the forests of Karnataka and Kerala and the mountain landscapes of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, Tents and Trails – Wild Camping Chronicles documents real encounters with wildlife, including elephants, tigers, wolves, and cobras. Rather than presenting dramatic fiction, the book focuses on genuine experiences that reveal the beauty, unpredictability, and challenges of India’s natural landscapes.
The narrative combines adventure with observation, taking readers beyond trekking routes and campsites to explore the rhythms of the wilderness. From setting up camp beneath star-filled skies to understanding animal behavior and adapting to changing terrain, the stories highlight the practical realities of exploring remote environments while respecting the ecosystems that sustain them.

Throughout the book, Ratheesh Menon reflects on how the wilderness can become a place of learning as much as exploration. His experiences demonstrate how time spent in nature encourages resilience, mindfulness, and a deeper appreciation for biodiversity. These reflections are woven into the narrative without overshadowing the adventure, creating a balance between travel writing and personal insight.
Inspired by noted naturalists and wildlife storytellers, the book also underscores the importance of conservation in an increasingly technology-driven world. By sharing authentic accounts from India’s forests, Tents and Trails – Wild Camping Chronicles seeks to inspire greater awareness of the country’s rich natural heritage and encourage responsible engagement with the outdoors.
Written in a clear and descriptive style, the book will appeal to readers interested in wildlife, outdoor adventure, trekking, camping, and nature writing. Its emphasis on real experiences, combined with observations of India’s diverse ecosystems, distinguishes it from conventional travel guides and fictional adventure stories.
