Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s period drama Ranabaali has crossed the Rs 25 crore worldwide mark in just two days. Released on 16 October 2026, the Rahul Sankrityan directorial collected Rs 7.30 crore net in India on Day 2 and pushed its global gross to Rs 26.65 crore. Despite a drop from its opening day, the film has maintained a steady presence at the ticket counters amid competition from bigger releases.

Day 2 India Collections and Overall Domestic Performance

According to Sacnilk tracking data, Ranabaali earned Rs 7.30 crore net in India on Saturday (Day 2) across 2,292 shows. This marks a 21.1 per cent decline from its opening-day collection of Rs 9.25 crore net. The two-day India net total now stands at Rs 16.55 crore, while the domestic gross has reached Rs 19.25 crore.

Occupancy settled at around 53 per cent on Day 2, down from 57 per cent on Friday. The film recorded 551,946 footfalls on its second day, taking the cumulative footfall count past 1.26 million. Telugu-speaking markets continue to drive the bulk of the collections, with the film primarily tracking as a regional title in its early run.

Overseas Earnings and Worldwide Total

Overseas markets added Rs 2 crore on Day 2, lifting the cumulative overseas gross to Rs 7.40 crore. Combined with the India gross of Rs 19.25 crore, Ranabaali’s worldwide total after two days stands at Rs 26.65 crore. The film had opened with a worldwide gross of approximately Rs 16.50 crore on its first day.

These numbers place Ranabaali past the Rs 25 crore worldwide milestone within 48 hours of release, giving the makers a foundation to build on during the remaining holiday period.

Story, Cast and Context of the Release

Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali is set against the backdrop of the Madras Famine of 1876-1878 in the Rayalaseema region. The narrative follows resistance against British colonial rule, with Vijay Deverakonda playing a fierce local fighter and Rashmika Mandanna in a key role. The supporting cast includes Arnold Vosloo as the primary British antagonist, along with Easwari Rao and others.

The film marks the first on-screen pairing of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna since their marriage earlier in 2026. It faced stiff competition from Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, which released a day earlier and dominated the overall box office conversation. Mixed reviews and the limited screen count have kept Ranabaali’s growth measured rather than explosive so far.
