Biography / Overview
Tanmay Singh, popularly known as ScoutOP (also stylised Sc0ut or Sc0utOP), was born on 30 July 1996 in Valsad, Gujarat. He initially pursued football seriously, training at a high level, before an injury redirected him toward competitive gaming. He began his professional esports career in 2018 amid the rapid growth of PUBG Mobile in India and quickly gained recognition for his aggressive, mechanically strong playstyle.
Over the years he represented several leading Indian organisations, including TeamIND, Team SouL, Fnatic and Orange Rock. A career highlight was finishing runner-up at the PUBG Mobile World League 2020 East with Orange Rock—one of the strongest international results by an Indian squad at the time. After the shift to Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), he co-founded Team XSpark, which achieved major domestic success including the BGIS 2024 title.
Personal Details
Parallel to competitive play, Singh built a large digital audience through livestreams, gaming videos and lifestyle content. His YouTube and Instagram followings grew into the multi-million range. In September 2025 he announced retirement from active competitive play, later taking on brand-ambassador and mentoring roles (notably with Revenant XSpark). In 2026 he returned to competitive circles and entered Bigg Boss 20, becoming the first major Indian esports personality on the show. During the premiere he publicly shared that his combined digital and esports activities generate approximately ₹30 lakh per month.
Personal details shared publicly remain limited. His mother is Sasmita Singh; his father’s name is not widely published. He has been linked with Kaashvi (Kashvi) Hiranandani. Education details indicate completion of Class 12 and a brief period of engineering studies before full commitment to gaming.
Tanmay Singh’s path reflects the broader story of Indian mobile esports. From early football ambitions cut short by injury, he entered the competitive gaming scene at a formative moment for PUBG Mobile in India. His aggressive style and consistency helped establish him as a recognised name while the ecosystem was still developing. Representing global brands such as Fnatic and achieving a near-win at the 2020 World League East gave Indian players greater visibility on the international stage.
