From 4 AIT Pune Alumni to Jaipur’s Leading Tech Firm: Dark Bears’ Founder Story Approved

Vinod and Virendra started Dark Bears together in 2009 with a shared vision from their time at AIT Pune. Narender joined the leadership team in 2017 and Dhruv in 2019, each bringing deep technical expertise that has shaped the company’s growth into IoT, AI/ML, and cloud infrastructure over the years.

No VC Funding, No Hype: Just Organic Growth

Unlike the typical Silicon Valley startup narrative, Dark Bears chose a different path:

Zero venture capital funding: the company has been entirely bootstrapped since 2009

0 to 100+ employees: in 15 years, steady, sustainable team growth

Organic scaling: hired based on actual project demand, not investor expectations

Profit-focused: reinvested earnings into infrastructure, talent, and ISO certification

This approach has allowed Dark Bears to maintain complete autonomy over business decisions while avoiding the pressure of investor-driven growth targets.

A Founder’s Perspective

“When we started Dark Bears in 2009, we had no investors, no connections, and no funding. What we did have was a shared vision from our time at AIT Pune to build software solutions that truly solve business problems. Fifteen years later, with 500+ projects delivered and clients across four continents, I can confidently say that organic growth is not just sustainable; it’s superior.”

— Vinod Jhajharia, Founder & CEO —

This quote reflects the philosophy that has guided Dark Bears through its journey: quality over speed, relationships over transactions, and sustainability over hype.

Looking Ahead: The Next Chapter
