“Healing Women’s Health Through Ayurveda: Dr. Pooja Singh Chauhan Brings Focus to Natural Treatment of PCOS, PCOD and Infertility”
New Delhi [India], July 10: The prevalence of gynecological conditions in women in India has seen an alarming increase in recent times. These include problems such as PCOS, PCOD, infertility, hormonal issues and menstrual problems among others. Whereas many women have taken years to treat themselves using drugs or have opted for assisted reproduction techniques, many women are now considering holistic medical care that involves looking for the cause of their problem.
This is where Senior Resident Dr. Pooja Singh Chauhan, Ayurvedic Gynaecologist, fertility specialist and MD of Shivaya Ayurveda Hospital, Unnao comes in. Dr. Pooja Chauhan practices medicine using the ancient art of Ayurveda with special emphasis on helping women restore their reproductive and hormonal health.
As per Dr. Chauhan, “Each woman’s body has its own cycle. Instead of treating just the symptoms, our main aim is to find out what causes the trouble and help the body heal itself naturally.”

Fertility is one of the main issues that her clients usually come with. She provides fertility treatments to the couples using the principle of Ayurveda and helps to treat all the reproductive health problems with the help of holistic treatment methods. In order to make consultations easier, she runs medical consultation camps on a regular basis in places such as Lucknow, Kanpur, Jaipur, Hyderabad and Pune. This way, women are able to get the necessary consultation in their neighborhoods and the follow up treatment takes place at Shivaya Ayurveda Hospital in Unnao.
Since there is increased awareness about holistic healthcare, Dr. Chauhan feels that women should be able to make informed choices concerning reproductive health care.
“Woman’s health needs time, attention and personalised care. Ayurveda can provide a balanced approach without interfering with the inherent capability of the body to heal itself.”
