Brokers see 52–62% upside after a court scare that barely touches Park’s business
New Delhi [India], October 13: Markets often punish good companies for someone else’s problem. Park Medi World (NSE: PARKHOSPS) looks like a case in point. The stock fell about 9% on Tuesday morning to roughly ₹231, from Monday’s close of ₹254.55 (Economic Times). It has now lost about 15% in two sessions (MarketsMojo). Nothing in the company’s own numbers has changed. Investors who look past the noise get a fast-growing hospital chain at a much better price than a week ago.
A sector scare, not a Park problem
The trigger was a Supreme Court hearing on medicine trade margins (5paisa). On 30 September the Court asked why the 16% trade-margin cap on scheduled drugs should not also cover non-scheduled medicines such as many cancer drugs. The whole BSE Hospitals Index fell around 5% (Eqmint).
Park, however, is among the least exposed names in the sector:

Cancer drugs are a rounding error. They make up less than 2% of Park’s revenue (Eqmint).
It is a value-for-money model. Park serves lower-cost patients, mostly through government schemes. The hospitals charging premium prices are the ones a cap would really hit (Ahmedabad Mirror).
Even the sector-wide hit looks manageable. Brokerages estimate it at 2–7% of EBITDA, before hospitals take any steps to offset it (Ahmedabad Mirror).
Growth that speaks for itself
Profits are compounding. In Q1 FY27, revenue rose 19% to ₹475.7 crore and EBITDA rose 20% to ₹126.1 crore, at a strong 26.5% margin (Eqmint). Net profit jumped 42% to ₹82.51 crore (INDmoney).
Management is guiding higher. It expects FY27 revenue of ₹2,080 crore, with margins of 25–26% even while new hospitals ramp up (StockFin).
A big capacity push is under way:
1,450 new beds across north India by FY28 (Economic Times);
a new 300-bed hospital in Kanpur under a 28-year agreement (Goodreturns);
Gurugram capacity rising to 750 beds (Bajaj Broking).
More beds, strong margins and patients who keep coming through government schemes add up to a business that should keep growing for years.
Brokers did not flinch. Emkay kept its BUY rating and ₹375 target after the sell-off, and Choice Institutional Equities rates the stock BUY with a ₹350 target, based on 18x FY28 estimated EV/EBITDA (Ahmedabad Mirror). From about ₹231, those targets point to roughly 52–62% upside. The stock is also about 24% below its 52-week high of ₹305.25 (Economic Times), which leaves plenty of room to recover.
The next catalyst: Q2 results
Q2 FY27 results are due soon; the trading window for insiders stays closed until 48 hours after they are announced (Tickertape). If they confirm the growth seen in Q1, the market’s fears could fade quickly.
What could go wrong
The Supreme Court could widen the margin cap beyond cancer drugs.
The company relies on government-scheme tariffs and on when those payments arrive.
New hospitals take time to fill and to reach full margins.
The stock nearly doubled over the past year and remains volatile.
Bottom line
This is a high-quality growth story caught in a sector-wide sell-off. Park’s direct exposure to the drug-pricing issue looks small, its earnings are growing at double-digit rates, and two brokers see more than 50% upside from here. For long-term investors who can handle short-term swings, the dip looks like an opportunity worth serious attention.
