“Maya Takes Readers into the World of Lucid Dreams and Mystery with Vera”
New Delhi [India], September 8:Vera by Maya is a historical fiction novel that blends lucid dreaming, mystery, romance, and psychological intrigue against the atmospheric backdrop of 1800s London. The story follows a young woman whose fascination with writing and determination to pursue her own dreams lead her into an unusual world where the boundaries between dreams and reality begin to blur.
At the centre of the story is Vera, a woman who is determined to become an author while resisting the expectations surrounding marriage and conventional life. Her experiences with lucid dreaming introduce an extraordinary dimension to her journey, as she begins to explore a subconscious realm that appears to have consequences beyond the boundaries of sleep.
As Vera becomes increasingly curious about the mysterious death of a man, her journey takes an unexpected turn. Her investigation brings her into contact with a psychologist, adding another layer of mystery and psychological complexity to the narrative. The encounters and discoveries that follow challenge Vera to question what is real, what belongs to the subconscious, and how deeply the two can influence one another.

The novel also explores the emotional conflict of pursuing a dream while confronting doubts about one’s own worth. Vera’s desire to write and her determination to follow her curiosity reflect a broader struggle faced by individuals who hesitate to embrace their creative potential because of expectations imposed by others.
Maya’s interest in fiction and fantasy inspired her to bring an imaginative world to the page. She describes the decision to write Vera as the result of finally giving in to an urge she had suppressed for a long time. The result is a story that invites readers to step beyond ordinary perceptions of reality and explore the possibilities hidden within the human imagination.
With its combination of historical fiction, dream exploration, mystery, and romance, Vera is aimed particularly at readers drawn to stories that merge the psychological with the fantastical. Rather than presenting a straightforward journey, the novel encourages readers to accompany Vera as she navigates strange experiences, unanswered questions, and her own ambitions.
For Maya, the publication of Vera represents the realisation of a dream she had been carrying for a long time. Her message to aspiring writers is simple: keep writing, because it can be worth it one day. The novel is ultimately an invitation to readers to enter an imaginative world shaped by dreams, curiosity, and the courage to pursue a creative calling.
Maya is an emerging fiction writer who prefers to let her storytelling speak for itself. Drawn to fiction and fantasy, she has long enjoyed creating imaginative worlds and eventually decided to bring one of those worlds to the page. Her debut novel, Vera, grew from a long-suppressed desire to write and share a story with readers. Rather than focusing on labels such as author or writer, Maya approaches storytelling with humility and hopes that readers will find something meaningful and intriguing within her work. Through Vera, she invites readers to explore her imagination and experience a story shaped by dreams, mystery, and the possibilities of the subconscious.
