Nothing OS 4.0 Rolls Out to More Devices: CMF Phone 1, CMF Phone 2 Pro, and Nothing Phone (3a) Lite
CMF Phone 2 Pro,

Nothing Nothing is extending its latest custom interface, built on Android 16, to additional handsets. After a brief pause in the rollout earlier this month to address some issues, the company has resumed pushing Nothing OS 4.0 widely. The update is now reaching the affordable CMF lineup and one more model from the main series.

Update Expands to Budget-Friendly CMF Models and Beyond

The stable version of Nothing OS 4.0 first landed on devices like the Nothing Phone (2), Phone (2a), and Phone (2a) Plus back in November 2025. Now, it's making its way to the CMF Phone 1, CMF Phone 2 Pro, and Nothing Phone (3a) Lite.

According to an announcement on the official Nothing Community forum, this major upgrade introduces updated aesthetics, enhanced personalization features, and a smoother overall interface. The focus is on elevating everyday usability with better performance and new capabilities.

The rollout is phased for stability:

  • CMF Phone 1: Starting today (December 27, 2025), with gradual expansion to more users.
  • CMF Phone 2 Pro: Expected in the next few weeks.
  • Nothing Phone (3a) Lite: Slated for early January 2026.

Availability can differ by region, so not all users will get it simultaneously. Owners can check for the update manually in their device settings under System Updates.
